Let me walk you through my journey into design.
My transition into UX/UI design may on paper seem disconnected from my previous work experience but I see it as a nature augmentation of the many traits found in my previous experiences; research, empathy and impact
I have always been fascinated by technology and loved the fast paced and highly iterative startup environment. So I was thrilled to work at one of Ireland’s tech unicorns, Flipdish
As an empathic individual and someone looking to create impact, I have always been drawn to politics. I was therefore really excited to start working at Leinster House following my time at Trinity College
Completing my undergraduate at University College Dublin and my masters at Trinity College Dublin in History, I was super excited to bring my deep passion for research into my professional life.
Whether it’s creating high fidelity designs on Figma or working with clients and colleagues on FigJam, the Figma ecosystem is brilliant and my go to design tool
I love wireframing (who doesn’t!) so Whimsical is great for making wireframes at speed with it’s pre built components along with the whiteboard feature familiar to FigJam and Miro
Documentation is key in design. Notion allows me to write supporting documentation information for developers and stakeholders to work and reflect on my designs
Sometimes words don’t cut it. Talking to the team on video is vital but meetings can be difficult to schedule. Loom is an amazing middle ground that allows me to work with teams on fleshing out and constructing my designs
